Did a UFO really crash in Chengdu? That's what an article published in Sichuan Daily claims.
According to the report quoted by Allnewsweb.com, an incident that mirrors the Roswell crash in the US happened in Chengdu on July 18, 1947.
On that day, a farmer allegedly found the remains of what appeared to be a crashed flying saucer in the fields. The head of the Physics department of the local university, Professor Zeng Zhanhan, was asked to analyze the remains together with other experts. They wrote a report about their findings. Their conclusion: it was a UFO.
However, much like it happened at Roswell, the military and police stepped in to tell the academics that what they found was merely the wreckage of a weather balloon. That explanation did not satisfy the academics or the locals who saw the wreckage.
Report of the wreckage recently surfaced on Sichuan Daily under the title “A large number of Air Force SU-30/SU-27 fighters assemble in China's Area 51,” Allnewsweb.com said.
